Re: Win XP Multiple Logins

Yes. I have created an account "test" (my first account) using WinSCP and have succesfully logged into my server using OpenSSH.

I do not understand. How do you create a account using WinSCP?

The problem is creating a second or third account and having those accounts login in successfully.

Recently you wrote that the problem is connecting to different account than the one being logged in on the server. Now you wrote that you can connect to the first created account and not to the others. I'm confused :-(

I am running OpenSSH on Windows XP, which in essence makes my Windows XP box a server.

Win XP Multiple Logins

I have multiple accounts setup on a Windows XP box. Using WinSCP I am successful in logging into each account individually when the account i'm attempting to access is active i.e. currently on screen in XP.

Example: account name "test" only is accessible if account name "test" is my current windows window. Attemping to login on a different account "testing" for example doesn't work when the "test" account is visually active in XP. Switching the active windows account to "testing" enables me to login with WinSCP to OpenSSH.

Is there any way, changing settings for instance, that i can do that would enable multiple accounts to succesfully login even if the given account isn't the active windows XP account?

Here is the error message:

"Cannot intitialize SFTP protcol. Is the host running a SFTP server?" "Connection has been unexpectedly closed. Server sent command exit status 1"

Thanks
