cannot drag-drop out of WinSCP into folder

Having an odd problem.

I have WinSCP set to commander mode. When I drag a file/folder from the remote server pane, onto a local folder window, it doesn't actually copy the file/folder. It just creates a new folder in the target directory along the lines of "scp18193", or "scp19774", etc... It does the same thing when copying a file or a folder.

I have the log window open at the same time, and no information is output to the log window at all during the process.

Dragging a folder between panes within SCP does work.

Any ideas?
