Just keep the logging enabled and once this happens, find the latest log file.

Mmm ok - its not that simple to replicate it, as it doesn't always happen. I'll see what I can do though

Please attach a full log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Thanks for the reply. I was using the beta version (so that I could force it to open new sessions in its own instance, not sharing them all), and that had the same issue. But the version I'm on now (5.6.5 RC) seems to be much worse :( Drops out about 5-10 times an hour (normally when trying to move around folders / download / upload stuff)

TIA

Re: Whats up with the last few versions?

Thanks for your report. Can please try to find out what version did introduce the problem?
youradds

FWIW, using normal FTP seems ok. Its just SFTP/SCP that seem to have the issues

Whats up with the last few versions?

Man, I'm starting to wish I'd never upgraded :(

Since moving over to the latest RC, I'm forever getting "Timeout" errors, disconnections, and all kind of other errors.

What happened?

I'm gonna have to change to another FTP client at this rate, as its causing me so much stress!
