Try opening a terminal window (or use the command line) and run lokkit. On my Red Hat 9.0 machine this is in /usr/sbin/lokkit Press the Customize button and activate SSH on the next screen. Red Hat closed all of the port by default starting somewhere around 7.0. This worked for me. Hale

Hard to tell, does server's SSH log say something useful (like reason of disconnection)?

Just installed Linux red hat 9.0 and now try to connect from a windows pc to linux pc. Address of linux pc is 192.168.0.5. Use a sitecom router. Try to connect but message "network error: connection reset by peer". Possible to ping to the Linux PC. What am I doing wrong?
