Re: Confirm this happening to me as well - WinSCP locking other removable media

Transferring files using WinSCP only to one of them but can't eject other ones - even if nothing is being transferred to them (and nothing was transfered during that session).
Basically if I'm in the middle of some transfer, either I have to wait until it is finished and close WinSCP or cancel current transfer, close WinSCP and then after ejecting HDD, open WinSCP again and set up my queue from scratch (WinSCP unfortunately doesn't keep unfinished queue and can't resume).
It is a bit annoying but I have started planinig closing WinSCP from time to time just to have an opportunity to eject some media.

Would please record a short video showing the problem (start WinSCP, do the transfer, try to eject drive)? Eg. using <invalid hyperlink removed by admin>

Hello,
Sorry for bothering, I could not reproduce the bug in couple attempts. Perhaps OK to close for now, will get back if I face it again.

Re: WinSCP keeps removable media locked

Thanks for your report.
I cannot reproduce the problem.
As expected, I cannot eject the card when it is opened in a local panel. Once I switch the local panel to another drive, I can eject it.
Can you maybe record a video, in case there's some special step? E.g. using <invalid hyperlink removed by admin>

WinSCP keeps removable media locked

Hello,
I am using WinSCP ver. 5.7.2 (build 5316) on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. The problem to be described happened using SCP protocol, WinSCP in Commander mode.

I have been downloading from remote server to removable media on local PC, namely SD card in the card reader. After download complete, I have selected local hard drive in local panel of Commander, i.e. removable media drive was not selected in Commander any more. Then I clicked "Remove hardware and media" icon in windows system tray to eject the card. The system reported media could not be released, because it was used by another program. When I closed WinSCP, the media could be ejected without problem. So I believe WinSCP was locking removable media, though it was not selected in the Commender. Wish it not.
