Update to the original post:

The file download works when the .net application's application pool is set to run with "Local System" and does not work with "Network Services".

Update to the original post.

Below is the message I could see in the system log.

Application popup: WinSCP.com - Application Error : The instruction at 0x011a0116 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be written.

File download error

We just recently migrated to a new "windows 2012 R2 with WinSCP 5.7.4" server for one of our application.

After this migration, we are facing a problem in fetching files from another external server using "WinSCP". Apart from the migration as said above, we didn't change any code that pulls the files.

In the log, we are getting a weird exit code as "_proc.ExitCode..-1073741819".

Any help in this is really appreciated.
