Re: log

Thanks for the log.

Nothing wrong on WinSCP side though.
You are using an ancient (2008) version 4.3 of the OpenSSH server, that does not support the setuid, setgid and sticky permissions.

Re: setuid,setgid,sticky not working in 5.7.7 ?

Thanks for your report.

Can you attach a session log file from both versions?

Please attach a full log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

it appears that if I right click on a unix file or directory and try to set uid, gid, sticky bit that it doesn't take, if I hit refresh it also doesn't take.. I can make the changes on my rhel 5 Linux machine and it shows on winscp screen but I cant set from winscp.

Has anyone seen this behavior?

more detail:
using the GUI, tried to change permissions on files and directories in unix window - setting the suid, sgid & sticky bit , none would take effect. When doing on the unix system itself, the changes show in Winscp.

This worked prior on Winscp 5.1.7
