WinSCP does not support creating certificate requests. You have to request a certificate from another application (like Windows certificate manager). Then you can use the certificate from WinSCP.

Suppose we will generate a CSR from the cert.exe tool, and after we got the certificate signed by the third party, how we can install the certificate into the WINSCP?

Dear support team,

I have some questions want to ask you regarding to WinSCP version 5.7.7:

1) Does WinSCP support FTPS (FTP over TLS)?
2) Compliant with RFC4217/RFC2228 which requires that client send an explicit “AUTH/TLS”?
3) Supports SHA2 and TLS 1.2 or higher?
4) Supports explicit mode FTPS (FTP over TLS) and Passive FTP for the transmission?
5) Create and submit certificate request (SHA2)?
6) Use of X.509 Digital Certificate from VISA CA?

Please kindly provide the answer.

Thanks,

The best regards.
