Yes, it will create a log file, where you ask it to.
You can attach the log file to your post on this forum.

This is how Alamy.com words their process:

This does not cover anything about what happens with the file after it is uploaded.
Why don't you contact their support?

The more I look at the process of logging, the more confused I get. As I said, this is my very first time looking at anything like this and I really don't know what I'm doing. It might take me a week or two to sit down and figure things out. How will I know I did this logging thing correctly? Will it save as a file somewhere that I will know to send to you? Once I do that, it might take me another week to figure out how to get the file to you. *sigh* I'm sorry for being so inept, but maybe it IS something with Alamy.com? After this WinSCP didn't work, I tried another program they suggested, Filezilla, and had the same result.

This is how Alamy.com words their process:

FTP
This is a quick and easy way to send us your images:
You’ll need an FTP client, we recommend Filezilla, FirefTP, WinSCP, Cyberduck, or ClassicFTP
Enter Alamy’s FTP details into your FTP Client:
Host name: upload.alamy.com
Login/username: Your Alamy email
Port: 21
Your password is the same as your Alamy login
Drag your images to the relevant folder:
Live News (news, sport, entertainment less than 24 hours old)
Stock (if it’s your first submission only send 4 images)
Archive stock (for all archival and reportage images)
Vectors (for all vector files)

Alamy upload
You can also use our web-based online upload tool in My Alamy:
Select Upload and then Stock Upload
Choose JPEGs to upload
Click Upload
Once you’ve successfully uploaded your images, they’ll begin to be processed by our Quality Control team.

NOTE it only says 'drag your images to the relevant folder' and doesn't say anything after that about multiple images or separate uploads, etc. So I'm assuming I can upload multiple at one time, they require 4, but maybe I'm simply not understanding their process??????

Re: How do I upload more than one photo from WinSCP to Alamy.com?

This does not look a like a problem with WinSCP.

Maybe that's how the Alamy works (I do not know the site). Maybe the server takes the images away for processing shortly after they are uploaded.

Attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate the session log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

How do I upload more than one photo from WinSCP to Alamy.com?

No matter what I do, the first picture I upload is the only picture I can upload. Every subsequent picture becomes the ONLY picture in that folder. It doesn't matter if I upload images individually or in a batch, only one image ends up in the destination folder.

Alamy.com DOES successfully get my single image, so that part is going through. But what settings do I need to change to allow it to STOP writing over the single image in the destination folder so that I can upload more than one image to a destination? I'm SO lost!

I am very new so I know no technical jargon associated with your product; I'm just getting started with Alamy.com and picked WinSCP at their suggestion. Any advice will need to be very simplified. Thanks!
