Re: Log

Thanks for the log. But it does not show directory listing after the upload.

Anyway, it's unlikely this has anything to do with WinSCP. It's most probably the server that moves the uploaded files away for processing.

I have added this common question to the FAQ:

What happens if you upload a file using any other FTP client?

Log

Ran the transfer this afternoon and all files appeared to be transferred but still unable to see them on the remote server. On many of the large files received an error that required me to select 'NO' and the program would delete the partial file and restart the transfer. in all cases it appeared to have worked but by not seeing it on the remote server it is once again difficult to validate that it was sent.

Thanks again. Log attached

Re: SFTP transfer viewing moved files

Please attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate the session log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

SFTP transfer viewing moved files

Using FTP the program allows me to move files from my PC to the connected host. However, under SFTP with one of my customers after I move the file one of two things happen. The file shows up on the remote server as different name (but the size is the same) or I am unable to see the file at all on the remote server. This does not happen with all the FTP connections we have setup. This issue is making it difficult for users to validate if the files were sent or not. I could have them look at the log but that is not the easiest document to read from a non-technical users point of view. We have tried many versions of winscp but the current version we are using is 5.9 build 6786.

Thanks in advance for any assistance on this issue.
