I've reported some errors in past, without ever getting any response.

The question is to where you were reporting the problems. If it was to support@farmanager.com then it probably was lost cause that address haven't been working for years, because of large amount of spam. The best place to report the problems nowdays is in the new offial forum. And for problems with API it is best that you provide a simple test plugin with sources.

What is that bug in FAR you are talking about, could you please report it here or in the official FAR forum https://forum.farmanager.com/viewforum.php?f=26

I do not remember exactly the problem. Generally it was that FAR ignores some calls to service functions when called from certain exported functions.

I believe in this case it was Control(FCTL_UPDATEPANEL) or Control(FCTL_CLOSEPLUGIN) called from ProcessEvent(FE_IDLE).

Still, this is the most uncomfortable thing for now (though the latest plugin version is _significantly_ better than previous ones!!) - basically, I can not leave a big file (10-20 Mb) copying and go away - since the banner stops the process. :-(

This is something duifferent that what this topics discus. We only discussed possibility to "reconnect" lost connection. What you want is much more complicated and neither the WinSCP application does not support this. I'll eventually try to solve this, but it will take time.

The regular FTP plugin automatically restores the connection - is it not affected by the bug?

I haven't written that it is not possible at all. I've just meant that with the plugin as is, it will be quite difficult to hack it to override the FAR's bug.

Re: far plugin: restore connection (same directory)

btw, I saw there is fresh beta of FAR available, maybe the bug you are referring to is corrected in that version ?

Thanks for letting me know. I'll try it. Unfortunatelly they do not provide list of changes.
Also I can hardly rely on people having "alpha" version. Even now I'm blamed to make the plugin required "beta" version :-)

far plugin: restore connection (same directory)

Hi,

would be good if "connection aborted" banner has restore connection button that would restore the connection and take you back to the same dir where it was lost.

:)
