Yes. You can find the algorithms used in the session log file.

We are using SFTP, so I gather that data being transmitted to, from and through WinSCP is encrypted.

Sorry, but this is bit unclear and broad question.

It depends on the protocol that you are using. SFTP, SCP, FTPS and WebDAVS are encrypted. Plain FTP and WebDAV are not.

Hello,

Is data in transit and stored on WinSCP encrypted? If so, are you able to provide information as to what algorithm and strength is used?
