Re: advanced setting for SSH cipher seems to keep resetting itself

I'm not able to reproduce the problem.

If you start WinSCP with an empty configuration (using command-line switch /ini=c:\some\path\winscp.ini) and create a new stored site, are you able to reproduce the problem?

Does any other session setting preserve? Or if you create a new stored site, is it preserved?

I used saved sessions for all of mine :) So I'm going in via Edit > Advanced > SSH > then edit the "Encryption Options" so that Blowfish is at the top. Click "OK", and then save the site.

Thanks!

advanced setting for SSH cipher seems to keep resetting itself

Hi,

I'm transferring a large file, and it keeps going from 10mb a second, down to just 200-300kbps. I've read up on your site that changing the cipher from AES to Blowfish should help. It did indeed. The problem is, the setting doesn't seem to keep saved :/

I made sure I pressed "save" when leaving the settings - I then closed WinSCP - reopened it and the setting has reverted back to AES.

Is this a known issue?

Thanks

Andy
