Your reference to FileZilla is unclear. What error are you getting with FileZilla?

If you cannot make it work with any FTP client, your FTP server (or rather a firewall on the server) is probably misconfigured.

Whenever I connect it says Could not retrieve directory listing Closing data connection, error occurred during transfer I fixed it by going on FileZilla but FileZilla does not want to open my files either.
