Re: can not create remote file: ... path.. filename.filepart - permission denied error

I tried again but the same error. Strange thing is only one file throws error, all others are working fine.

Please attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate the session log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

If I upgrade the version then it does not work with my VPN and remote network.
Please help.
Thanks.

Try again. Maybe you didn't set the option correctly. If you did, you would not get an error with .filepart.
And you urgently need to upgrade your installation of WinSCP.

can not create remote file: ... path.. filename.filepart - permission denied error

hi there, I am keep getting this error for just one file. I am using WinSCP 4.3.4.When I transfer the file to remote directory, I get following error:
Can not create remote file: '..pathtofile/filename.filepart'.
Permission denied.
Error code: 3
Error message from server: Permission denied
Request code: 3

I have full access to remote directory and this file as well.Permission for this file is set to 777. I am able to transfer all other files but just this one file is not working. I did try removing transfer resuming checkbox but it did not work. I wonder if throws error for filepart, is there a way to clean up all temp/partial files? I tried removing clear caches from commands but it did not fix the error.

I need to change this file a lot so it is becoming annoying problem. Currently I transfer this file to another temp directory and then move it to folder when I need to move it to.

Thank you for your help.
