Thanks.

I'm sending you an email with a development version of WinSCP to the address you have used to register on this forum.
Sopor

Follow this on the "Local" side and it will lock the folder:
1. Create a folder.
2. Open it and copy a file in it.
2. Open the context menu on the file and press System menu.
3. Close the System menu.
4. Go to parent dir and delete the folder.

It should now show the "System Error. Code: 32"

Re: can't delete the folder because it is locked by WinSCP

Thanks for your report. Though I cannot reproduce the problem. Would you please describe step-by-step, what exactly are you doing?
Is it a local folder? An internal or an external editor? How are you trying to delete the folder?
Sopor

can't delete the folder because it is locked by WinSCP

If i create a folder, put some files in it that i open with the editor and when i try to delete the folder i can't even if i have closed the editor.
It will bring up this text,
System Error.  Code: 32.

The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process

but the problem is that it is WinSCP that is locking the folder and not another program.
The log file will show the same error message as above.

WinSCP 5.13.4
Windows 8.1 64-bit
