How to remove files in deterministic paths after exit?

Hello!
The docs for setting Keep temporary copies of remote files in deterministic paths says, that it "makes WinSCP avoid using random part of the path to local copies of remote files. It also makes WinSCP retain the copies even after exit".
But why? What can I do if I want to remove random part of the path and don't want to retain these files after exit?
I think this setting should not impact on retaining/cleaning files. Maybe it would be better to create separate setting to chose between retaining or cleaning.
