I see this could be problematic for you to implement since
"highlight"="select" and "current" = cursor where in Tot.Com.
"highlight/current"=cursor, and "red color"="select"

OK, so your problem is that, while WinSCP behaves the same way as Total Commander, you do not like the way it highlights the focused file (the standard Windows highlighting - while Total Commander uses its custom highlighting).
Maybe you would prefer to switch to Explorer-like selection mode.
In that mode, the selection moves with the focus. But I see now that it does not work for the incremental search. I'm going to fix that and will send you a development version then.

Report

Hi,
so i did testing:
- "quick search" implementation is even better
than in Tot.Comm. = Perfect

But:
- during tests with a search i notice that highlight of
current/active item does not met my expectation.

I understand that this is different topic/issue, but maybe
it will improve WinSCP
[ if you need i can create a new Feat.Req. later]

Expectation [ related to the Quick search]:
- [ Even] at first char. match "found" item should be also
"selected/highlighted" addition to the made "current"
- If i have "blue color" selected item and using search i have
to focus my eyes more to find "current" found item since
cursor indicate with dots around it only.

I see this could be problematic for you to implement since
"highlight"="select" and "current" = cursor where in Tot.Com.
"highlight/current"=cursor, and "red color"="select"

Thank you.

Quick Search with more that one character like in Total Commander

Hi,
i think it would be nice if this feature
was implemented:
- quick search in the folder for directory/file name
while i keep typing.

Explanation:
- i am long-term Total Commander user and when i quickly
find file/folder i just starts typing and in the
current list [ folders/files] cursor keeps jumping to
the one that matches best.

Implementation steps:

1. start typing
2. open line-in widget to see inserted chars
3. find first matching item in the list
4. next char inputed, repeat #3
escape closes line-in filed, and
i left with a searched/found item
