Re: last 3-5 updates WinSCP starts crashing frequently and also some issues with local file browser...

Thanks for your report.

Can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include a link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile.

file browser gone!

Ok I found another topic, which explained using explorer if you dont want the local view, I remeber trying it in the past and it looked aweful but just played around with it set it to almost look like the other view (obviously minus the local browser).

As replied here: https://winscp.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=95831#95831

This is a great solution, always felt the local file browser was a waste of space...

2 problems with the explorer view though, there is no "up a directory" folder at the top so if you have the tree disabled (I dont very much like tree interfaces), your screwed.

The second issue, if you was going to use the tree interface then why does it STILL show folders in the other interface too? seems a bit redundant.

Of course some people might prefer both, would be nice to just have options to enable disable these.

last 3-5 updates WinSCP starts crashing frequently and also some issues with local file browser...

Since a few updates now WinSCP is getting more and more unstable. I do have it running sometimes for up to a month non-stop since my PC runs 24/7 and work every day using it (sometimes hibernated btw). Its almost always after ive been away and come back the next day so after PC has been asleep and woken up, obviously connections need to be re-connected and as soon as I click reconnect it hangs... At this point theres a 50/50 chance it recovers and works as expected - else it just hangs until closed and re-opened.

also I have issues from time to time with the local file browser, get serious access violations for no reason at all which throws up hundreds of error popups... Any chance for an option to disable this panel as its pretty pointless to me anyway?

All other software on my PC btw doesn't get hung or crash, EVER.
