How then do we use that downloaded file and apply it to the existing location on the remote server outside of the UI? Am I over complicating this? It's just that we need a manual option rather than updating and upgrading through the WinSCP UI.

I do not understand. If you have WinSCP installed, then just run the installer of the new version and it will update the existing installation. Or is it that you cannot run the installer? How was the current version installed?

So I misspoke earlier. Our remote server of course has internet capability...Duhhhhh...how else could we WinSCP and ftp files. The firewall prevents us from downloading files to the remote server through the WinSCP UI.

WinSCP Software Upgrade on Remote Server

So we have WinSCP installed on our remote server in the cloud. The remote server does NOT have Internet Access and our Infrastructure guys tell us it will not ever have Internet Access. So we cannot readily upgrade the WinSCP application accordingly from within the UI and the application.

Is there any way that we can download the latest WinSCP software and apply it to this remote server without having to go through the UI and the application to Upgrade and "Check for Updates" to apply the latest release normally?

Thanks for your review and am ghopeful for a reply.[/u]
