Re: Problem copying file

Did you read https://winscp.net/eng/docs/sftp_codes#code_4 ?

Please attach a full log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Problem copying file

I am using Version 5.1.8 (Build 3799)

I have a QNAP (TS-110 4.1.0) server with a folder that is shared with both cifs & nfs. I mounted both of these shares on a Debian (jessie) server. Using WinSCP I am unable to copy files to either share. I can copy from a telnet session. I am able to see all files and can apply permissions to the folder. I am also able to delete files from both shares. Just not copy files. The error is:

General failure (server should provide error description)
Error code: 4
Error message from server: Failure
Request code: 18

Please advise.

Thanks

Dave
