Error: Invalid access to memory

This morning I logged in to WinSCP and got an error window with the message "Invalid access to memory" but then the application opened normally and everything worked fine.

This is rare. WinSCP usually opens up without issues. What changed today may have been caused by one of the following: (1) Windows had just completed an update and rebooting my laptop. The updates included multiple Security Update for Windows 7, Excel, and Powerpoint. (2) As soon as my machine finished booting up, I opened several applications at once (WindSCP, Outlook, Chrome, and couple more tools.) The computer got really slow. That may have caused it.

Laptop is a Dell 4 GB RAM, Intel i5 core 2.5 GHz, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Service Pack 1.
