Re: Batch file containing email address as username

The correct syntax is ftp://user%40mydomain.com:password@ftp.mydomain.com/

See https://winscp.net/eng/docs/session_url

Though WinSCP should handle your syntax too.

So the problem is probably elsewhere.

What does not work, specifically?

Please attach a full log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate log file, use /log=path_to_log_file command-line argument. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Batch file containing email address as username

Could someone please look at this syntax and let me know if its wrong as its not working.

Im using latest version of WinSCP on Windows 7, and I'm trying to use a windows scheduled task to download filed from a remote ftp folder every hour.

My ftp host requires that usernames be in the form of email addresses.

The command line I'm using is this:

/command "option batch abort" "option confirm off" "open ftp://user@mydomain.com:password@ftp.mydomain.com/" "get MONITORED-VT-FOLDER-CAUTION/*.ext C:\Users\Admin\Desktop\Presenters\download+folder\" "exit"

Any ideas?

Carl.
