OK, so you do not need SCP URL, but HTTP URL. That confused me.

EDIT: There's extension for Generating HTTP URL.

hmm,
i don't think this is what i mean.

What i mean is this:

Lets say you have an ftp and you access it via winscp.
And furthermore you know the folder /html/ on the ftp represents the URL https://www.example.com/my_sub_example/
So it would be great if you let WinScp know about this.
So lets say there is example.rar in this folder (/html/).
It would be great if you could right click on this file (/html/example.rar) and press "Copy Url to Clipart" which would copy https://www.example.com/my_sub_example/example.rar
into clipart.

I know there is a similar feature but i couldn't find out if it's posible to use it in the way i want to use it.

Re: Defining Urls to scp adresses

I'm not sure if I understand you. WinSCP supports sftp: and scp: URL addresses.

Defining Urls to scp adresses

hey folks,
i ve been using smartftp for quite a while but recently my host changed so it requires scp nowadays. In SFTP i had urls assigned to my ftp logins so i could easily use to copy url to clipart function.

What i d like to c is a feature that would allow me to define the space i m logging onto is https://www.example.com/ or the folder /www/something123/ on the account i log on will be https://www.example.com/ etc.

With a feature gathering your current folder state and that defined info you could have a right click feature that would copy

https://www.example.com/sample_file.rar

into your clipart ready to b pasted in emails, irc, webpages, whatever...
