What version are you using? The ECDSA keys are supported by 5.8.3 RC only, not by the stable release 5.7.7. The stable release will never use the ECDSA key, so there's no point setting this type of fingerprint.

SSH host key fingerprint does not match pattern

I have tried to connect to server with fingerprint key type:
ecdsa-sha2-nistp256 256 xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:.....
And I have the exception: "does not match pattern."

Why I can't connect with this key?
