Re: File protocol SFTP default

Your session file protocol default is SFTP.
It took me some time to find out why I could not login to my FTP account.
Many accounts does not support this protocol. I could login just after changing it to FTP.
Can you change this default, or show some window help that explain what is an SFTP,
and give the suggestion to change it to FTP?

When you try to login with SFTP to a server that supports FTP only, you should get a hint to use FTP. If you didn't, please attach a full log file showing that (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Also please note that the "Save Password" design is very complicated to use.
Can you use just a V check "Keep my password" instead?

How's V check "Keep my password" different to "Save password"?
