That button does what you ask for. It opens remote terminal. Not local.

As newbee I just asked a specific question but now I have a more general one subsuming that: How can one open the command terminal for the remote site? I see on the menue line at the top a button with the symbol > which leads to a terminal for entering commands with respect to the local directory. But I don't see how I can get a corresponding terminal for the remote directory. Could you please help?
