Re: Puzzled! Error, but no failure.

OK, then the problem is probably what the message says. You server simply does not answer to some part of authentication process in time. You can set longer timeout on Connection tab of login dialog.

Yes, the window disappear immediately.

contacting host...
authenticating...
using username "username"...

This is the last of what I see before the window disappear and the connection gets established.

Thank you for your time.

Puzzled! Error, but no failure.

Mr. Admin,
First of, thank you for your time and effort to assist herein.

I get this error every time I log in. The title of the window says: "Confirm"
"Host has not answered for 15 seconds.
Wait for another 15 seconds? Pressing "Abort" button will close session.
Warning: Aborting this operation will close connection!"

I have watched my logs on the server side, but there's not info that would point me to what's going on. Everything is working, I'm just wondering if there's something I can do to eliminate this error. People around the world who uses my FTP server and get this error, usually make the mistake of clicking the "Abort" button and don't connect. I get phone calls and emails that it's not working, but that's not the case.

Would you be able to shed some light on this situation? I can provide a screen capture if necessary.

Thank you in advance.
