Re: Automate transfers

That's where scripting command keepuptodate may get useful.

not suitable

I have been using WinSCP for at least 8 months and I believe that it cannot help you on this issue if you are not a good programmer. You should find such a software that has backup/sync/mirroring features and it should support FTPoverSSL or SFTP for your secure connection demand. However, if you are a good programmer, you can write scripts for WinSCP to automate and it can do what you want. Since I have not use scripting for winscp, i use other softwares instead. I can recommend you a software (not open source) but community edition is available if you wish. for more details email me-> bloodyroots et gmail.com

Automate transfers

Hi all

I'm new to WinSCP and was just wondering if the application supports Automatic Transfers. I.e. I want to transfer files from one computer to a server as and when they appear in a specific folder. I.e. I have an application that generates the files and places them in a folder and I'm looking for file transfer software that will securely transfer the files from the folder to a server whenever the files are put in that folder.

Will WinSCP do this? If so, how do I go about doing it - I've look on the frontend and some of the documentation but just can't seem to find it. If not then do you have any suggestions as to what other open source app I could use?

Thanks
