Re: FTP maybe bug "OOPS: priv_sock_send_cmd"

Please upgrade to the latest stable version of WinSCP and post a log file showing the problem.

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. For posting extensive logs you may use pastebin or similar application. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you may email it to me. You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile. Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have emailed the log.

FTP maybe bug "OOPS: priv_sock_send_cmd"

When trying to connect to a certain server using the FTP features I receive an error box that says:

Could not retrieve directory listing
OOPS: priv_sock_send_cmd

I can connect to other servers fine, but this one server is different. I can connect to this server using FireFTP (The firefox plugin). I used the same exact information.

I think a possible reason is that the FTP implementation tries to open the / directory when it connects. The server I'm connecting to forces a directory redirection and connects me to a certain folder on that server not the / directory. Just a guess though. I've connected to my 1and1 account which does the same thing and it works fine though.

Using WinSCP 4.0.2
