I had the same problem which was the result of an inaccurate clock on the client machine. Specifically, if your local workstation clock is running slow and you have "Preserve Timestamps" enabled in the "Transfer" preferences, then whenever you edit a file, the timestamp of the modified file will still be less than the timestamp of the original file and therefore WinSCP doesn't even attempt to copy the modified file back to the remote server. If you correct the time on the local workstation, then everything should work fine.

Thanks Frank. That perfectly expains this problem. I'll modify it so that file gets uploaded whenever timestamp changes. Not only when it change to later time.

Hi all

Strange problem. All of a sudden winscp wont save changes to files im editing on my linux box. It has been working fine for a long time now up until the other day.

Ive tried doing a cleanup from the tools menu. Ive tried uninstalling and deleting the folder its installed to. When i re-install it comes up with my saved settings so its not properly un-installing.
Im trying to completetly un-install becuase there must be a file somewhere configured thats not letting me save my changes.

Any ideas on how to fix this! Using v 3.5.0

TIA!

Re: Cant save changes

Can you write more details, please? What does it meant that your files are not saved? Do you refer to editing file? Do you use internal or external (which one) editor? When you close editor (or save file) does anything happen (e.g. attempt to upload file)? Some error message? Please write me anything what may help me to understand what is your problem. Thanks.
