Transfermode integers ????

What are the "Transfermode" numbers in the INI file? I searched the documentation and did not find this info. Meaning I want to edit my INI file, what number do I enter...

Transfermode = ? (Text)
Transfermode = ? (Binary)
Transfermode = ? (Automatic)

What values replace the ?'s

binary = 0
ascii = 1
automatic = 2
However I do not understand why don't you change it from GUI.
