Change to (sub)directory fails

I have following directory structure on my server:
\x
=>\mail
==> \input
==> \archive
==> \bin

A change in \x\mail to \bin or \input is OK. But when I change into \archive, I am landing into the root directory instead of \x\mail\archive !
I use version 3.8.2 from my USB stick.

Any hints? TIA !

Can you try the latest version? What protocol are you using? I guess that you use forward slashes, not backward, for remote paths. Do you?
