Drag Copy from Remote FTP to mapped drive freezes WinSCP

- WinSCP 4.28 running on Win7 x64 or Win2008 R2
- SFTP, SSH-2, OpenSSH_4.5p1, aes, No compression, SFTP-3
- GUI

Connect to a remote FTP. Drag and copy a file from remote FTP (right pane) onto local drive (left pane) -- WinSCP freezes. Eventually an error message pops up saying that the connection was aborted by the software.

I noticed that it works with local hard drive volumes (C:, D:) and mapped drives, EXCEPT for the mapped Active Directory Home folder (which is a Windows 2008 R2 box hosting file shares.)

Trying to kill WinSCP when it freezes with Task Manager immediately brings up the prompt to confirm exiting WinSCP. When I cancel the Windows prompt to "End Task", WinSCP remains frozen.

Can you send me an email, so I can send you back a debug version of WinSCP to track the problem? Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have sent the email. Thanks.

Re: Drag Copy from Remote FTP to mapped (Posted 10/2010)

Greetings, Was this mapping issue resolved? I have received a Windows 7 PC and am using WinSCP 4.3.3. I am now experiencing this very issue of freezing when trying to copy files from a remote server to a mapped drive on the office (Active Directory) network. It eventually "unfreezes" and I can continue; program does not crash. Would prefer to stay with WinSCP if possible. Do not have this challenge with other FTP software.

Many thanks.
