little square box at end of remote machine file name ???

Hi,

I am using WinSCP between two Win2k machines and when I connect to the remote machine all the files have a little square box at the end of file name. This, I think represents a CR or LF but it seems to impede me from downloading files from the remote machine to my local machine. The remote machine is running cygwin in order to avail of the ssh server.

Do you know of a way to get round this???

Thanks

If you have any other "ls.exe" on your computer besides the one that came with OpenSSH try creating a file
--
"C:\Program Files\OpenSSH\etc\profile"
--
(or wherever you installed OpenSSH)
and put the following line in it:
--
export PATH="/bin:/cygdrive/c/WINDOWS/system32:/cygdrive/c/WINDOWS:/cygdrive/c/WINDOWS/System32/Wbem"
--
