If second instance of WinSCP runs, what happens?

Since the automated WinSCP process that I will be launching via the Windows Scheduler will be copying a large number of files and I am going to be launching it every 5 minutes, what will happen if the current run of WinSCP is still running?

I've done a few tests and it looks as though the second instance of WinSCP just exits, leaving the previous instance intact and running. This is totally acceptable, but I would like to ask here to verify. Do I need to take anything else under consideration? Thanks! Salvador

There' definitely no mechanism in WinSCP that would explain the behavior your describe. For WinSCP it is perfectly correct to run multiple instance in parallel. Though I believe the Windows Scheduler by default prevents parallel runs of the task.

Thanks for the reply. I will keep testing to prevent a second instance from starting up. Yo are correct, there is a setting in the Task Scheduler to prevent parallel run of the same task. Regards, Salvador
