Latest versions interfere with other file transfers

Hi, I've been a longtime user, was using 5.1.7 for a long time without a problem. Recently I upgraded to 5.1.8 and I think that might be where this problem started. I tried the latest 5.2 RC tonight and it has this problem too:

If I'm doing a regular Windows file transfer between my PC and a Samba server on my network, and then start a WinSCP regular FTP transfer between my PC and my smartphone, suddenly the Windows file transfer speed comes basically to a halt... it will be sort of barely keep going but in a very start-stop manner and only a few K per second. Once the FTP transfer ends, things go back to normal.

My PC is connected via gigabit ethernet to a switch that then connects to the wireless router... network capacity to my PC is not a problem. Previous up until recently both transfers would go at full speed without interfering with each other.

I could go back to 5.1.7 and test it to see if that version works OK - but is it safe to downgrade from 5.2 RC?

I do not think there's any change between 5.1.7 and 5.1.8 that may cause this. Anyway, let us know if there's any change after you downgrade.
It is safe to downgrade from 5.2.5 to 5.1.7.

Yes. It's almost always safe to downgrade with WinSCP.
