WinSCP FTP Client timestamp - last modified date wrong

Hi forum,

I need support with one issue regarding timestamp.

When we use WinSCP as SFTP Client, it works perfectly as it shows the last modified date of the files when they are transfer from the SFTP client to the SFTP Server.

However, when WinSCP is a FTP Client (we use the Default FTP Server on Windows 2000), the last modified date of the files is not showed. In this case, the 'date and hour of the transfer' is showed.
How could we configure WinSCP as FTP Client to show the last modified date of the files?

Thanks

Re: WinSCP FTP Client timestamp - last modified date wrong

Please attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

Name a single file that shows an incorrect timestamp. Explain what timestamp do you expect instead and why.

To generate the session log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Hi Martin,

Find attached a session log file. The filename is SFPT_TEST.txt.
This last modification date of this file is 9th December 2016. We want that WinSCP shows us this date instead of the date of the transfer.

Using WinSCP as SFTP Client, it works perfectly but doesn't work as FTP Client.

I'm sending you an email with a development version of WinSCP to the address you have used to register on this forum.
