I am not sure if it is scp or sftp.

This feature surely won't be included in next release. I'm sorry. Maybe in future.

What I cannot understand is why if a connection is lost during trasnfer WinSCP closes. :?: Why not try to reconnect? I have to restart it again.

Dropped connection causes program abort

I work from a remote location via a wireless connection. WinSCP is a very good program, and I rely upon it daily. Thank you for making WinSCP available!

Dropped connections are common for me; this is a problem when attempting to transmit large files, which I frequently do.

I see that there are other requests for WinSCP to retry, and that the response has been that this feature will surely not be provided.

Please reconsider - this feature is very important to me!

Mike

An easy way...

Martin, a quick way to add this resume feature is to implement rsync. Using rsync-over-ssh is awesome and I still haven't figured out why you haven't implemented it yet.

Sorry, I don't know anything about rsync. I'm currently working on SFTP, which supports resuming.

WinSCP 3.0 and above supports resume for SFTP. SCP protocol does not support resume at all.
