scp/sftp speed on windows systems

Hello

After having made some testing between linux and
windows computers, it seems that using scp or
sftp between windows and linux is incredibly slow.
This behavior doesn't happen between linux computer.

This seems to apply to the whole bunch of client
software for windows

Am I wrong ?

It seems that I'm not the only one with this speed
problem.

Here are some more information :

Testing made with a 100MB file
MB = mega Byte

Using secure cp :
linux ethernet giga (2.4.9)-> linux ethernet giga using scp :
25000KB/s

windows ethernet giga (2kpro) <- linux ethernet giga
using fscp :
900KB/s

windows ethernet fast (2kpro) <- linux ethernet giga
usinf fscp :
660KB/s

If using unsecure ftp

linux ethernet giga (2.4.9)-> linux ethernet giga using scp :
53000KB/s !!!

windows ethernet giga (2kpro) <- linux ethernet giga
using fscp :
13604 KB/s

windows ethernet fast (2kpro) <- linux ethernet giga
using ftp :
11650 KB/s
