Topic "Iperf vs WinSCP FTP Speed"

Author Message

Using Iperf w/ just default settings my connection speed to my local network linux server is about 28Mbps, w/ the settings below its 50Mbps. However while transferring files (FTP no encryption) with WinSCP v 4.3.9 I only get about 2Mbps. I've tried Filezilla also and I get a similar 2Mbps. I would appreciate any suggestions. I know that the 28Mbps is a raw speed, but I would expect something around 10Mbps at least. I'd appreciate any feedback, thanks!

Settings for iperf server:
Iperf s -w 256k
Settings for client:
Iperf c <server IP address> -P 6 w 256k -r t 60
