Just installed Linux red hat 9.0 and now try to connect from a windows pc to linux pc. Address of linux pc is 192.168.0.5. Use a sitecom router. Try to connect but message "network error: connection reset by peer". Possible to ping to the Linux PC. What am I doing wrong?

Hard to tell, does server's SSH log say something useful (like reason of disconnection)?

Try opening a terminal window (or use the command line) and run lokkit. On my Red Hat 9.0 machine this is in /usr/sbin/lokkit Press the Customize button and activate SSH on the next screen. Red Hat closed all of the port by default starting somewhere around 7.0. This worked for me. Hale
