How to search directories only in root directory (not in subdirectories).

Hello,
I use next WinSCP (version 5.7.3, Build 5438)ability (pic. 1)
1. I search all directories (not files!), starts "BBC01" symbols
2. From the root directories
3. But I don't want to search it in subdirectories (I mark All (do not recourse).
4. WinSCP make this search string BBC01*/|*/

I start search and have next result (pic. 2)
3. nothing!

If I don't mark All (do not recourse), I have a subdirectories in my search result (pic. 3)
1. search string
2. from root
3. Result have subdirectories

How I can make search string, that get result without subdirectories.

Thank You
Valery

Test with your version

Hello!
I deinstalleed software WinSCP, clear all configuration and restarted computer.
I started your version WinSCP (pic 1)
Than I find BBC*/|*/ in root directory with All (donot recourse)
Result is nothing (Pic 2)

Than I find BBC*/ in root directory WITHOUT All (donot recourse)
Result is OK, I see only BBC* directories only in th root directory (Pic 2)

BUT!

If all directory's names starts with BB
When I find BB*/, I see derectorys and subdirectories (Pic 3)

Is it must be?

Re: Test with your version

You have to use an absolute path to restrict search to a certain directory: /BBC*/

Russian translation is not available for development versions.

WinSCP 5,8 approximate release date with directory search and russian interface.

Hello Mark.
Thank you for WinSCP Portable 5.8.
It has all function, that we need.

Unfortunately, most of our users very little knowledge of English.
Could you tell, when approximately we can expect the Russian version of the official release WinSCP 5.8 wth directory search?
Approximately?

I need to specify the approximate release date possible for our users, because they are waiting for this release.

Thank You!

Sincerely
Valery

WinSCP 5.7.4 (with the fix) will be released in about one or two weeks.

no (folder) search with included subfolders possible

Hello.
In my most updated version (v.5.13.3) the search functions still seems to be buggy.
Independent from the option 'recurse' or 'not recurse' WinSCP needs to even one second to finish a root search (file mask: e.g. "share/"; Search in: "/") with NO result although there are SEVERAL folders called 'share' on my server.
Please let me know why the search feature is definitely not working here (my Windows 7 computer).
Thank you so much.

Indeed, Find files command cannot really be used to find folders.

Thank you. But this comment doesn't help at all, unfortunately.
Particularly because it's the same problem with files search.
Sub folders seem generally not to be supported anymore!

Does anybody know what sense it makes not to support the usual usage of a feature.
If I search for a folder or file I normally don't know where on the server it is!
Or I know just a high-level folder!...
But JUST for ONE folder (without subfolders) only I can find s.th. also by JUST sorting it by name... Even here I don't need this search function at all!...

What "same" problem do you have with files search?
I can search for file name recursively without any problem.

Option "All (no recusrsion)" doesn't search for directories recursively anymore

Hello,
unfortunately now it's just the other way round: since the tracker https://winscp.net/tracker/1329 is resolved (version 5.7.4, 22.5.15) the directory search only works in the one given root directory WITHOUT recursion, independent from the setting of option "All (no recusrsion)"!!
There must have been s.th. gone wrong when implementing this option!...
So this bug tracker issue should be REOPENED!
Thank you.
