Two suggestions

  1. An option to open the current directory or a folder in the other panel (Local mode only). Alternatively, allowing the user to enter their own path could be simpler.
  2. An option to remove Parent Directory (..) from the directory listing. I don't think it's needed, since there's already a button in the toolbar.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I have added this request to the tracker:
Issue 2189 – Command to open the same folder as in the other panel in local file manager mode
You can vote for it there.

Alternatively, allowing the user to enter their own path could be simpler.
How can it be simpler than it is now?

We will see, if more people ask for this. Actually people rather ask for it to be added to Explorer interface.
Issue 835 – Optionally add .. directory to Explorer interface file panel

I meant for you. I thought it might be easier to allow a custom path to be entered in the existing boxes, rather than coding an option open a specified directory in the other panel :)
