Invalid Characters again....do wildcards fix the problem?

Hi,
i read quite a lot of forums with threads about this issue and learned this wont get fixed.

Now i wanna know if, since the error msg suggest wildcards, theres a script available that would do the job for me? I already dumped so many invalid files on my ftp and cant structure them again. Id really love if there was a way to get arround this. The nasty thing is you can upload. IF there was at least a message that would remind me if i m trying to upload such a invalid named file id be happy aswell.

I hope theres a way,
thanks so far

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you are talking about. What problem do you have, what error message do you mean?

Can you post a full log file? Also I'm not quite sure what you are doing.

Ah sorry,
i thought this is a common error and therefore i guessed my short explaination is enought.

Basicly i dont do more then trying to move/delete/rename a file.
(i checked the log files, they dont give mre info as the stuff i posted)
I m just not sure if its winscp or the servers fault that causes the invalid character issue. I m a bit curious about the fakt that i m able to upload a file that seems to use invalid characters (whyever) but not move, rename or delete it afterwards.

BTW, do you have some kind of restricted shell? Like scponly? It may cause the problem.
