Can I list files in a folder by date in descending order?

I have looked at the ls command and have tried everything I could find on the web, but I am unable to list files in descending order by date. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

WinSCP ls command does not allow custom sorting.

What do you need this for? What are you trying to achieve?
