Server Core issues

First issue, I could not install WinSCP on Server core because the installer would not run.

2nd, I ended up downloading the .net & com library since all I'm doing is powershell anyway.

When I try to run it, I get this error:

Error: Exception calling "Open" with "1" argument(s): "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail"

I think this is the same error I got when I was trying to run the installer as well. What is going on with this?

Here's what's being reported in the Event log:

I do not have any problems running installer or using .NET assembly on Windows 2016 without desktop (aka "core").

How do you get the "SxS Trace"?
