New Winscp download

After downloading Winscp on Win 2012 r2 today.
When using the executable via Powershell the error below occurs:

$session.Open($sessionOptions) Exception calling "Open" with "1" argument(s): "The specified executable is not a valid application for this OS platform

any advice?

fixed itself after downloading the package manually.
