Session Tab Names

Hi,

When opening sessions from nested directories, the session tab shows the full path as well as the saved session name. This quickly eats up the number of accessible tabs without having to scroll left/right. I know you can rename session tabs so you can conserve space, but is there a way to save them permanently so you don't have to rename 20 session tabs every time you open them?

Really? Is this possible for the tabs opened by "My Workspace"? It's not at all obvious, even after searching the site and documentation.

So if it's possible, please share how to do that.

This is a major need for me, as well. I have 15 tabs to track every time I open my saved "My Workspace" (multiple vhosts, logs, backups, file server, image server, etc., etc., etc..), and would love to add more if I could make it obvious which tab connects to which aspect of the server. At the moment, they all have the same label ("Main Server").

I understand that, but I am looking for a way to rename individual tabs within a session, rather than the session itself.

For example, if I open two tabs to my server logs, it would be highly beneficial to be able to differentiate the tab names to show what part of the logs they are focused on. Or say if I'm working on debugging a particular website, I can easily see which tab is focused on a subdir of the template, which is inside the plugins area, and which is drilled deep inside the images directory.

So ideally, we could just right click on a tab and select "Rename" to give them truly meaningful labels that survive app and system reboots.

That's accurate. I did assume you meant 'session renaming' because you said "Any session can be renamed". My bad for not checking the link you included, which would have cleared it up for me.

The functionality works like a charm. Thank you very much for adding it!
