encryption

Hello,
I use the version 5.14.1 Beta that allows the encryption of the files and it works perfectly.
Directory names are not encrypted-is it planned for the Following ?
Why not use PGP instead of AES-256 CTR encryption?

Best regards,
javas

Directory names are encrypted. As long as you have Encrypt new files enabled in transfer settings (what is enabled by default):
https://winscp.net/eng/docs/ui_transfer_custom
If it does not work for you, we would need more details.

What is wrong with AES-256 CTR?

Hello,
Sorry for the directories, they are well encrypted.

As far as PGP is concerned, this is the only encryption mode that still resists the NSA.
Doubts remain for the AES-256.

Why not opt for the 2 solutions and leave the choice?

WinSCP + PGP

Old thread, I know, but suddenly I found myself in a situation where this is needed.
So, I second the motion :)
Do you see a chance of this getting implemented anytime soonish :) ?

Sorry, that's very unlikely.
